Chip reading a "Lonely Planet" guide
00000002.jpg
Chip drops his snuff in the trash. He's using this trip as an opportunity to quit.
00000003.jpg
Enterprise Rent-a-car at Houston Intercontinental Airport in Houston. We dropped our car off there and rode their shuttle bus to the airport.
00000004.jpg 00000005.jpg
00000006.jpg
Yep - that's me
00000007.jpg 00000008.jpg 00000009.jpg 00000010.jpg
00000011.jpg 00000012.jpg
Leg Room!! Leg Room !! When you're both 6'8" you REALLY need to sit in the Emergency Exit aisles.
00000013.jpg
I thought that most of the food was pretty good - at least on the flight over.
00000014.jpg 00000015.jpg
00000016.jpg 00000017.jpg 00000018.jpg
The "People Mover" thing at the NY airport. I suppose it has a more proper name...
00000019.jpg
The "Baby Bed gizmo" worked very well.
00000020.jpg
00000021.jpg 00000022.jpg
Another pretty good meal. I think that's Tiramisu in the bottom right.
00000023.jpg
Chip hasn't eaten much of the food. So now he resorts to eating cheese and crackers.
00000024.jpg
The baby was very well behaved. His mother played with him every now and then. She was from Ukraine.
00000025.jpg
Breakfast was both healthy and good. I don't think Chip enjoyed it.
00000026.jpg 00000027.jpg 00000028.jpg 00000029.jpg
00000030.jpg

00000033.jpg 00000034.jpg
The terminal at Stuttgart Germany
00000035.jpg
00000036.jpg
Jan from Colorado and her Rabbit.
00000037.jpg
00000038.jpg
00000039.jpg 00000040.jpg
One of the first things we noticed was these machines selling the "Original" Budweiser.
00000041.jpg 00000042.jpg 00000043.jpg 00000044.jpg
You can buy metro tickets from many newstands, tobacco stands or machines like this.
00000045.jpg
Here's Chip reading something. Probably something he got with the tickets he bought.
00000046.jpg
This picture is posed. Notice the look of extreme confusion on Chips face.
00000047.jpg 00000048.jpg
This picture is NOT posed. Notice the look of slight confusion on Chips face.
00000049.jpg
Our landlord gives us directions to the local sights.
00000050.jpg
Fortunately there were two other beds that didn't have the headboards and footboards.
00000051.jpg

Our windows looked out onto one of the main streets and this church.
00000052.jpg
Not only did out flat have a grandfather clock, it had a china cabinet (with china) and numerous marble topped tables.
00000053.jpg
00000054.jpg
Our first meal was at this restaurant. A great place around the corner from our flat. The wino leaning upagainst the wall followed us EVERYWHERE.
00000055.jpg

Prague Style goulash. And potato pancakes/dumplings - I forget which
00000056.jpg
Stuffed cabbage. And the potato things. Chip ordered this but we traded.
00000057.jpg
00000058.jpg 00000059.jpg 00000060.jpg
00000061.jpg
00000062.jpg

The Danube river is just ahead beyond the trees. The hill is on the other side of the river.
00000063.jpg

One of MANY great views we would encounter on our walks. I suppose you get jaded with them if you live here.
00000064.jpg

The river is to the right. All the buildings on the left face the river.
00000065.jpg

One of the few (If not the only) pictures of the beautiful women of Prague.
00000066.jpg

A street scene. I think the dark building on the far right is the National Theater. The ground floor of the building on the left is a very nice restaurant.
00000067.jpg

Prague Castle on the hill and Charles Bridge to the right.
00000068.jpg
00000069.jpg
00000070.jpg

This is the building earlier referred to as the "National Theater" - I may be wrong.
00000071.jpg
Some monument across the street from the river. I don't know what/why.
00000072.jpg
00000073.jpg 00000074.jpg

One of my favorite photographs.
00000075.jpg

Another favorite photograph.
00000076.jpg
00000077.jpg
A photograph back in the direction from which we had came. You can see the monument and the "National Theater"
00000078.jpg 00000079.jpg

Charles Bridge to the left. Prague Castle is on the hill to the right.
00000080.jpg

Some monument that's at the eastern end of the Charles Bridge. Note the wino at the trash can on the right .
00000081.jpg 00000082.jpg
00000083.jpg 00000084.jpg

The tower to the left is the home of the famous "Astrological Clock" - this is a side view. There's a plaza just beyond. (BSSD)
00000085.jpg

The "Astrological Clock" - it was always surrounded by tourists. (BSSD)
00000086.jpg
I think this is the "House of the Three Violins". It's in the emblem below and between the two middle windows.
00000087.jpg

The plaza beyond the Astrological Clock - it can barely be seen along the left edge.
00000088.jpg
00000089.jpg

A tour group at the lower end of the main drag/square/mall.
00000090.jpg
00000091.jpg
Chip has returned with a bottle of wine and two bags of potato chips.
00000092.jpg 00000093.jpg
Chip sleeps while I play on the computer. And take pictures :-)
00000094.jpg
They're waiting for a rock/sports/TV/Movie star - or something
00000095.jpg
00000096.jpg 00000097.jpg

The "Adria" Restaurant. My Mothers name is "Adria"
00000098.jpg
00000099.jpg

The Prague Castle and Charles bridge at twilight.
